Lose Weight By Walking - Know How Much Should You Walk Daily

Walking to lose weight?….contrary to popular belief…Weight loss is possible only by walking. 

In fact, it’s actually relatively simple to lose one pound per week by building the walking habit.​ More importantly, you can do it without following a fad diet or subjecting yourself to one of those grueling exercise programs advertised on television.

The trick to lose weight through walking is one of the easiest forms of exercise to incorporate into your day-to-day life.

But what is the right amount of walking each day to help you achieve your weight loss goals? 

Aim for a brisk walk of 30 to 90 minutes most days of the week for weight loss. You can walk more on some days and less. But, the total time for the week should be at least 150 minutes.

Hence; you can lose weight walking, if you walk fast enough that you are in the moderate-intensity exercise zone at 60 to 70 percent of your maximum heart rate. In fact you should be breathing harder.

Furthermore, you can use your heart rate and exercise zone reading from a fitness band, app, or heart rate monitor to ensure you are exercising at moderate intensity.

What If You Can’t Walk for 30 Minutes at a Time?

Life can be busy. If your schedule isn’t permit walking continuously for 30 minutes, break it up into walking two or three times a day for shorter periods of at least 10 minutes at a brisk pace.

Always warm up for five minutes at an easy pace no matter what duration you will be walking. You can use higher-intensity intervals, stairs, and brisk walking to get the most out of shorter walking workouts.

Results Of Walking For Weight Loss

Anyone can walk to lose belly fat, but the results will vary from person to person.

You will be able to see results of your weight loss within a couple of weeks. You can expect to feel better, and look slimmer around the belly by walking four to six times each week. Keep walking for good health and weight management to keep the belly fat off.

To start with, walkers should have comfortable, loose-fitting workout clothes. Although cotton was the fabric of choice earlier. It’s better to have “wicking” fabrics that breathe easily and allow for moisture to pass through them.

Such fabrics, which are available in many brands, also help reduce chafing in problem areas because they create less friction than cotton.

Women should also have a properly fitted sports bra, preferably made of wicking material. After you’re “dressed for success,” you have to pick the right walking shoe.
